The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U) has announced an encouraging update for its beneficiaries. A total of 3,505 selected applicants will receive the first installment of ₹50,000 before Diwali. This initial payment is aimed at helping families begin construction on their own homes and bring them closer to owning a dream house.

Total Benefit and Payment Structure

The PMAY Urban scheme provides financial assistance in three stages, totaling ₹2.5 lakh per beneficiary. The first installment is ₹50,000, followed by a second payment of ₹1.5 lakh, and the final installment of ₹50,000. These staggered payments are designed to support the construction process step by step.
